1. Agreement

By accessing or using itscandid.com (the "Site") or submitting any form on it, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Codified London Ltd, trading as candid ("we", "us", "our"), company number 08440313, registered at 160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Site.

2. Service description

candid operates a talent matching service that connects software engineers with companies. We assess candidates through an asynchronous technical assessment and may introduce accepted candidates to companies in our network. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, introductions, or any particular outcome.

3. Your obligations

You warrant that all information you provide is accurate and that any resume or materials you upload are yours to share. You must not use the Site for any unlawful purpose or submit another person's personal data without their consent.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site (text, design, logos, code) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our written permission. You retain ownership of any materials you upload but grant us a licence to use them for the purpose of providing the service.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and service are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

6. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 or any other applicable law.

Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or in connection with the Site or service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall not exceed £10. Subject to the above, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, business opportunity, or goodwill, however caused.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, these terms continue to apply to any prior use.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you submit a form on our site, we collect your email address, country, and resume. This data is processed by Formspree on our behalf.

How we use it

We use your information to assess your application and match you with relevant roles. We may share your profile information, including your resume, with vetted companies in our network for this purpose.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and the Reddit Pixel to understand how visitors use our site and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These tools may use cookies and collect anonymised usage data.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected].
